Tail Wheels tabled again
A pitch to locate a flight school was tabled Monday by the Bartow Airport Authority because the safety records and FAA investigation has not come before them.
Tail Wheels appeared before the authority at its May meeting looking to move the flight school that boasts of 300 students a year to the Bartow Municipal Airport after it was facing eviction from the Winter Haven Airport where it had been located for six years. However, commissioners tabled a vote on them wanting to see the FAA investigation into the company before making a move. After asking Airport Executive Director Cynthia Barrow to get the records from the FAA, she still was not able to get the reports.
