If the Lake Wales City Commission agrees with a cost-cutting recommendation its manager has made, the Lake Wales Public Library and City Hall might be closed one day a month starting in October.

The reduction in hours for the two city buildings is connected to City Manager Terry Leary’s suggestion to have Lake Wales employees take up to 80 hours of unpaid days off during the 2012-13 fiscal year.
