Bartow Biz Kids busy having fun

Bill Turner knows the best way to clean up the frosting that drips off the edge of a cookie. He was one of the Bartow Biz Kids taking part in a new summer camp offering sessions with Main Street businesses. Several kids joined him at The Cookie Jar Bake Shop Tuesday afternoon to decorate cookies and cupcakes.The new summer camp program offers two two-hour sessions at several downtown businesses every Tuesday through Aug. 14. Cost is $15 per session. Some scholarships are available. Call Virginia Condello at the Bartow Chamber of Commerce, 863-533-7125, for information and registration.

Bartow Biz Kids is a new kind of summer camp, offering kids from third through eighth grade the chance to have fun and learn about local businesses at the same time.

Presented by Main Street Bartow, with help from the Bartow Chamber of Commerce and Bartow Marketing Partnership, the program offers two two-hour sessions at several downtown businesses every Tuesday through
Aug. 14. Cost is $15 per child per session. Some scholarships are available.
