Lee Palmer sits at the controls of her hyperbaric oxygen chamber in this undated photo.

Lee Palmer stands by the hyperbaric chamber in this photo published in The Democrat in 1992, when Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Service moved near Bartow Memorial Hospital. The pressurized chamber was large enough to hold six people. Patients could be treated with 100 percent oxygen through a face mask in a simulated undersea pressure.
