Business burglaries rise

Bartow police have seen an increase in burglaries in August, including five at churches.
“In most of the cases the windows or doors were broken, kicked in and/or pried open,” Lyn Bryan, Bartow Police Department crime analyst, said. Most are happening on weekends, she said.
