At the beginning of August, city officials were told it was going to take about two weeks to resurface parts of 63 roads in Bartow.
It’s been about that time since Empower Construction from Frostproof started the work and some of the roads have not even been started. What is complete, though, are two roads that were of the highest priority. Those roads are the part of Broadway that runs next to Bartow High School and the part of Clower that runs in front of Bartow Middle School. At this point, some roads in the south part of town have been torn up and are partially paved, but most of the other roads remain undone.
