Polk County Public Schools’ Support Services Division employees have banded together to collect thousands of items to donate to the KidPACK Polk Project. Over a period of two days staff members collected 3,486 items that included microwavable meals and additional non-perishable food items.
The KidPACK Polk Project is a back pack program designed to provide food and essential supplies to disadvantaged children in our communities. In cooperation with local schools, the KidPACK program is a highly effective method of delivering hope and charity to these children, a spokesman said. With additional sponsorships, the goal is to step up this community service project to provide additional supplies of shoes, clothing, hygiene products, and dental assistance.
