Wastewater line shows lots of deterioration

A wastewater transmission line that is the most heavily used of three lines has broken and could cost up $150,000 to replace, Assistant City Manager Bill Pickard told city commissioners at a work session Monday.

City Manager George Long said the line, which was turned off temporarily, is now working but it shows deterioration and he imagines the other lines will be in the same situation but without an inspection, he doesn’t know.
