Wilma and Buddy Martin, longtime Bartow residents, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 10, surrounded by their loved ones.

The two met at church, according to information from the family, and they were married by the groom’s father, the late Edgar A. Martin, St. in the small country community of Bridgeboro, Ga. Moving to Bartow in the late 1950s, the two began working at the jobs they held until retirement; Buddy at Smith Brother’s Oil Company and Wilma at First Baptist Church, where she recently retired after 44 years.
