An early morning four-car pile-up Thursday on the westbound lane of East Main Street at the Oak Avenue intersection resulted in one vehicle totally destroyed, two with serious damage, and the fourth with minor damage. However, no one was seriously injured, other than soft tissue aches and possible bruises.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to Leanne Stover, whose 2004 Chrysler 300M was struck by Jeff Reynolds, the operator of a Polk County Facilities Management van. The impact crushed the back of Stover’s car and propelled it into the back of a 1997 Ford Escort station wagon.
