Impact fee moratorium gets one more year

In a unanimous decision, Bartow City Commissioners approved Resolution No. 12-3815, in which it expressed it opposition to proposed Amendment 4 to the Florida Constitution. It garnered a majority decision on first reading, agreeing to extend the Impact Fee Moratorium until Dec. 31, 2013.

For the former, if approved, Amendment 4, stated the resolution, “... would create inequities in the state’s tax system by granting certain tax breaks to some taxpayers at the expense of other taxpayers.”
