Commissioners honor Crickettes for upcoming parade

Janet Stevens, with The League of Women Voters, goes over facts and figures for the benefit of City Commissioners and the general public present, regarding the 11 amendment proposals on the November ballot.
The majority of the Bartow City Commission meeting regular meeting was filled by presentations. The first was made to the Crickette Club in honor of its upcoming 70th Annual Crickette Club Parade and Carnival. The proclamation was accepted by Michell Githens on behalf of the Crickettes.
She was accompanied by the Little Trick or Treaters, which was composed of several children in Halloween costumes. Following the acceptance of the proclamation, the children presented the commissioners with individual,
gift-wrapped candy treats.
