When the Bartow Church of God celebrates its 80th anniversary Sunday, the congregation will re-connect with a former Bartow resident Bobbie Mae Lauster, who graduated from Bartow High School in 1947.

Now a resident of Atlanta, Ga., Lauster is a minister, author and missionary, and the daughter of Rev. Samuel Whitener, who was pastor at the Bartow Church of God from 1945 to 1950.
