Zachary Martin, a 2012 graduate of Summerlin Academy, is bound for Fort Campbell, Ky., where he is assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, also known as the Screaming Eagles.

According to one of his grandmothers, Barbara Martin of Bartow, Zachary attended a 14-week infantry station unit training in Fort Benning, Ga., which was a combination of Infantry Advance Individual Training and Basic Combat Training. Martin learned urban operation techniques in both vehicles and on the ground, graduating from Fort Benning on Oct. 12.
