Tuesday night it was Pat Calandros’ job to get people participating in the Relay For Life further psyched than they already are for the annual event that draws thousands into a town. And while she perked up their spirits and kept them laughing, it was Marcus Jordan who illustrated why this was important as he drew tears from the crowd while fighting back his own.

A year and a half ago Jordan, who owns Apex Engineering was diagnosed with cancer and though he’s giving it his best fight and refuses to give up he was recently told he is at Stage 4 and he’s waiting to find if he can participate in a clinical trial treatment at Watson.
