There will be construction work from
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday on U.S. 98 from County Road 540A to State Road 540 until Nov. 21 as crews will be loading out soil and receiving backfill which will increase dump truck traffic in the project area, the Florida Department of Transportation reports. The project consists of the removal of contaminated impacted soil from along the old railroad bed located along the east side of US 98 and immediately west of the Fort Fraser Trail.

No lane closures are expected during this project.
