Gay Harlowe holds a favorite ornament.
Gay Harlowe, a retired pharmacist and member of the Bartow Daughters of the American Revolution was keynote speaker at the Christmas meeting of the Florida Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Her presentation centered around the White House Historical Association and their Christmas ornaments. Members learned that the Association produces a Christmas ornament for each United States president. Each comes with a short history of the president that is represented by that ornament, Harlowe said. Therefore, they represent a short biography and a lesson in American History.
