Tuesday, Jan. 8, was a day of investitures, beginning with a 7:30 a.m. swearing in of Stacy Butterfield. Another ceremony was held later in the day for Sheriff Grady Judd. Yet a third took place at 4:45 p.m. in the historic courtroom of the Polk County History Museum, which formerly was the county courthouse. Sworn in were (front row, from left) Lori Edwards, Supervisor of Elections; Stacy Butterfield, Clerk of the Court/County Comptroller; Joe E. Tedder, Office of the Tax Collector; (back row, from left) Rex Dimming, Office of the Public Defender; Jerry Hill, Office of the State Attorney; Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd; and Marsha M. Faux, Office of the Property Appraiser.
