Quiz reveals importance of education

Dr. Pamela P. Craven explains how connected the Bartow Kiwanis Club is to the Learning Resource Center in both organization's efforts to improve education in young children. Craven is the executive director of the LRC.
According to Pamela P. Craven, Executive Director for the Learning Resource Center of Polk County, Inc., that organization and the Bartow Kiwanis Club (in fact, all Kiwanis clubs) have common ground. Both are dedicated to academic programs that advance the potential for students and enrich the community.
“We can help in this community, and we do help,” said Craven, who holds a Ph.D, and has been the LRC executive director the past 13 years. She was the guest presenter at the Jan. 11 Kiwanis luncheon, which are held Fridays at the Bartow Civic Center.
