Steven Webb with Gator Towing puts the chains onto the Honda Civic to tow it from U.S. 98 where it apparently hit a tractor and closed two lanes on the southbound side for about an hour Tuesday afternoon. The tractor driver, James Hill watches. The tractor he was driving can be seen at the upper left side of the picture where he pulled off the road and helped those in the Civc afterward.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but traffic was reduced to one lane Tuesday after a Honda Civic collided into the back of tractor on U.S. 98 South just north of Bartow Ford.
One of the two unidentified people that were taken to the hospital, though not seriously injured, was eight months pregnant, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports.
