DESOTO COUNTY — DeSoto County commissioners approved a request Tuesday by Parks and Recreation Director Tara Anderson to apply for a $400,000 state grant to make improvements to Lettuce Lake Park.

Anderson said all of the design, engineering and permitting had been completed in 2009 and 2010. The improvements would consist of a double boat ramp, a restroom and a paid parking lot at the park.
