Residents who want to use city recreation facilities, like the pavilion at the Fort Meade Outdoor Recreation area, might get a case of sticker shock.

That’s because the rates to use such sites took a dramatic jump last week when the Fort Meade Commission approved new fees that are in some cases almost five times higher than the previous cost.
