Large city tax rate increase gets final approval

The millage rate in Fort Meade rose $2.30 this year over last year’s rate and that number didn’t mean much to Wayne Gunter.
At Saturday’s public hearing on the city budget, Gunter said, “I don’t pay in millage, I pay in money so I don’t know much about millage.”
