Mary Marguerite Burdett

Mary Marguerite Burdett, longtime resident of Bartow, died Oct. 8, 2012 at her home.

Born in Audubon, Iowa, on Feb. 28, 1917, she was 95 years old.

Peg was a 75-year member of PEO, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, was a licensed pilot and an active HAM radio operator.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Maurice E. Wilson, Jr. and Beryl Burdett.

She is survived by daughters, Margurite Walker (John) of Dallas Texas; Lisi Newtown (Ken) of Sherman Texas; son, Malcolm Wilson (Diann) of Bartow. She has two stepchildren, Cheryl Goff of Bartow and John Burdett of Sault St. Marie, Mich. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral services will be in Sanborn, Iowa.

MidFlorida Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
