Swan songs were heard in the Lakeland Center’s Youkey Theater a week ago when both USF Polytechnic in Lakeland and State Sen. Paula Dockery took their final bows.
Dockery, who is term-limited from the Florida Senate and will leave office this fall, was the commencement speaker for the last class of the University of South Florida Lakeland to graduate under that name.
