Tuesday
fireworks will celebrate July Fourth
Fireworks will light the night sky Tuesday over Lake June-In-Winter when the Lake Placid Jaycees host its annual salute to Independence Day. The first rocket is scheduled to launch at 9 o’clock and the fireworks show is expected to last 20 to 30 minutes.
The Jaycees have sponsored the local display for almost four decades, never missing a fireworks extravaganza for our nation’s birthday in all those years. This year the fireworks will be a day early to accommodate scheduling for a pyrotechnic technician.
