PATRIOTS ON LAKE FRANCIS

The Harpeneau's yearly patriotic parade on Lake Francis this year was made from another resident's old pontoon boat, after some ingenious reconfiguration. It brought some cheers along the lakeside as they cruised by, to those recently recovering from Tropical Storm Debby's visit. Past years have included multiple skiiers carrying flags.

Though there was a bit of rain July 3 for the annual fireworks display it didn't keep the crowd from coming out for the display. Though it started late, the fireworks went off as planned on July 3.

The Harpeneau’s yearly patriotic parade on Lake Francis this year was made from another resident’s old pontoon boat, after some ingenious reconfiguration. It brought some cheers along the lakeside as they cruised by, to those recently recovering from Tropical Storm Debby’s visit. Past years have included multiple skiers carrying flags. Meanwhile on July 3 there was some rain but it didn’t keep the crowds away from the annual fireworks show. Here cars line the parking lot at Lake June Ball Fields for the annual show.
