A 42-year-old Lake Placid woman died Sunday morning when she made an illegal turn in front of another vehicle in the Leisure Lakes subdivision. Three other persons suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Dawn G. White was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile four-dour west on Miller Avenue at 10:26 a.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol homicide investigator Cpl. L.M. Smith Jr. A 1996 Dodge van driven by Douglas Byrd of Lake Placid was behind Miller’s car.
