In response to hazardous flooding conditions, Polk County has coordinated with the Florida Highway Patrol to close several county roads to “through traffic.” Deen Still Road and Rock Ridge Road will be closed from US 98 to SR 33. Green Pond Road and Poyner Road northwest of SR 33 will also be closed between Deen Still Road and Rockridge Road.

Flood waters are currently encroaching into travel lanes along these roads. With continued rain and raising water levels, conditions are expected to worsen throughout the day and evening, with water anticipated to cross these roads and other nearby locations.
