It’s almost summer and that means Arts Camp 2012. This year, Arts Camp through the Lake Wales Arts Council will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 228 S. 4th Street, Lake Wales. Students will have four weeks to explore the arts in a safe and encouraging environment. Arts Camp is a program that is open to any student, grades 1-6. The Jahna Foundation, Church of the Good Shepherd, SunTrust Bank and the Lake Wales Kiwanis Foundation have generously provided funding for this scholarship program which allows the Lake Wales Arts Council to provide Arts Camp for many children who would not be able to afford any summer program.

This summer, students in grades 1-6 can enjoy painting, music, puppetry, circus tricks and dance classes. Classes are scheduled in the mornings and students may attend one or both classes each day. This year’s instructors are Tim Cain, Gloria Haigler, Lois Kimball, and Scott Smith.
