BABSON PARK, Fla. - Beginning this September, Webber will offer the Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education on its campus in Babson Park. When Webber International University announced its merger with St. Andrews University (formerly St. Andrews Presbyterian College) in Laurinburg, North Carolina last summer, there was much talk about expanding the educational offerings on both campuses. This is the second such expansion in less than a month. Two weeks ago, the St. Andrews campuses in Laurinburg and Pinehurst North Carolina announced that they were enrolling their first ever MBA students.

In Florida, elementary education programs are offered with two options. A student can obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in four years, or two degrees – a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in General Business Studies – in five years. Either option requires a single semester in residence at the Laurinburg, North Carolina, St. Andrews University campus, a 600 acre lushly landscaped campus which is home to the university’s 128 horses and 3 championship equestrian teams. “It has the advantages of a semester abroad, except, of course, you don’t need a passport, vaccinations, or a long flight to get there!” said Dr. Keith Wade, the University’s President and CEO. “It’s a change of season, a change of scenery, and an hour or two in any direction will take one to any variety of sites well worth seeing. Many students think of it as fun since they get to spend a semester somewhere entirely different without having to spend a lot of money to get there.”
