Power outage hits part of downtown Lake Wales

An equipment problem caused a power outage that lasted approximately 90 minutes Wednesday afternoon in a portion of Lake Wales.
Suzanne Grant, spokesperson for Progress Energy, said 100 customers, which included some businesses in an area north of First Avenue and west of Scenic Highway, were affected.
