It’s no wonder artists love the Lake Wales Art Show. The awards are big and will be even bigger for the 2013 Citizens Bank and Trust 42nd Annual Lake Wales Art Show set for March 24-25. The new awards structure includes three prizes in each of the eight categories as well as three top awards. The show awards and purchase prize program total $30,900.

“Artists love this show because they have the opportunity to win large cash awards and, with more than $8,000 collected for pre-purchased art in our purchase prize program, they are guaranteed that serious buyers have made a commitment to purchase artwork,” explains Pirjo Restina, show chair. The deadline for artist applications will be on January 8, 2013. Applications are available online or at the Lake Wales Arts Council.
