The McLaughlin Theatre Department has announced its fall play, Still Life with Iris, which will open and run the second weekend in “November. Still Life with Iris,” written by Steven Dietz, is a fantastical adventure which centers on a little girl’s quest through a magical world to regain her memory and find her way home. The play explores how loss of one’s past steals the future as well, and how our past defines who we are. In the end, Iris’ faith, courage, and new friends help her to discover her past and find her way home.
Directed by Heather Clarke, a troupe of talented young actors will bring the story to life in the Black Box Theatre at McLaughlin Fine Arts Academy; they include Gabbi Chambers as Iris, Gabriel Harper as a young Mozart, and Jocelyn Cardona as Annabel Lee. Rounding out the cast are Kimberlee Knight, Chase Landin, Keirstyn Holtsclaw, Abbey Haas, Zachary Landes, Tireney Rose, Alyssa LaSalle, Erin Parr, Lily Baker, Mya Pierce, Sean-Paul Adams, Violet Spence, Naylis Cruz, Taylor Wildmon, and Kiana Feliciano.
