Stephanie Tschida has been selected as the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast's Junior Sailor of the Quarter.
Lake Wales High School alum, Class of 2008, Stephanie Tschida has been selected as the U.S. Navy Fleet Readiness Center Southeast’s Junior Sailor of the Quarter (April-June). Her selection is a testimony to her outstanding leadership and professionalism in the performance of her duties as an Aviation Electronics Technician. She cross trained on multiple platforms, including F/A - 18A - F and E/A - 18G avionics equipment leading to the completion of 32 maintenance actions, resulting in a 97 percent Ready-for-Issue rate. Her devotion to duty played a vital role in the Fleet Capability Alignment Program, greatly contributing to saving the Navy $2,202,890 to date in Depot level repair cost. Additionally, as a Tool Control Petty Officer, she trained seven subordinates in “by the book” tool control procedures, ensuring strict adherence to the program, resulting in zero discrepancies during the 2012 Commander, Naval Air Forces Aviation Maintenance Inspection.
Competition for this award was extremely keen. She can be justifiably proud of her recognition as being “the best of the best,” having exceeded the FRCSE Standard of Excellence. Her dedication to duty and exceptional performance reflected great credit upon herself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Navy.
