Betty Wojcik is retiring as the executive director of the Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce.
Betty Wojcik, executive director of the Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce since September 2005, has announced her plans to retire effective June 1.
“I am really looking forward to having more time for my husband and I will finally have the opportunity to explore my creative side in a more traditional way. I love to paint and work with stained glass and want to take it all to that next level. More than anything, I will now have a chance to visit my grandchildren more often,” Wojcik said in a press release. “I certainly will be available to fill in, if needed, on a part-time basis until my replacement at the Chamber is hired and ready to take over. I have been so fortunate to work with such an excellent staff and they, along with the members of our Board of Directors, will be great assets to the new executive director.”
