Donnie Johnson Sr., 62 of Lake Wales passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born May 26, 1950, in Bartow to the late Noah D. and Vera Agnes Johnson; and he was a lifelong resident of the area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Johnson of Orlando; son, Donnie Johnson, Jr. (Treva) of Dothan, Ala., and Clint Johnson of Lake Wales; sisters, Kathryn Braddy of Lake Wales, Mary Harper of Cairo, Ga., Joyce Rodgers of Lake Wales and Wanda Bush of Lake Wales; brothers, Charles Johnson of Lake Wales, Ronnie Johnson of Lake Wales, Norman Johnson of Lake Wales and Mark Johnson of Welaka, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, and the funeral service was 10:00 am Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. David Koon officiating.

Interment followed at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
