“What a strange season,” remarked North Port Pirates manager Ralph Ortiz when asked
how he felt about the recently completed Junior Division (13-14-year-olds) North Port Little League season.
This past Saturday, the city champion Pirates also claimed the Sarasota County Cup when the city of Sarasota representative did not have enough players to field a team and had to forfeit, thus handing the championship to the Buccos.
