Despite construction of new restrooms by Sarasota County, Manasota Beach on the north end of Manasota Key remains open to the public.
ENGLEWOOD — Rob LaDue, a Sarasota County parks and recreation supervisor, understands why beach patrons would wonder what the county is building at its Manasota public beach on the north end of Manasota Key.
Like Charlotte County’s Englewood Beach, which is seeing the replacement of its boardwalk, Manasota Beach will remain open to the public during construction. Construction on Manasota Beach is expected to be completed by the fall of this year.
