NORTH PORT — Bob Estrada’s wife of 28 years, Linda, asked what type of cellphone he wanted when he retired. “None,” he said, adding he’d like to throw it in the Gulf of Mexico.
The North Port police captain and second-in-command at the department plans to turn in his city-issued cellphone and gun, turn off his computer and “live on room service” while traveling the country with Linda in the near future.
