Teens protest sale of ‘synthetic drugs’

Teens from throughout Charlotte County protest an Englewood East convenience store Thursday for allegedly selling synthetic drugs and alcohol to minors.

ENGLEWOOD — Despite summer heat in the 90s, more than two dozen Charlotte County teens felt it was worth protesting an Englewood East convenience store for the alleged sale of alcohol and “synthetic drugs.”

Drug Free Charlotte County targeted RJR convenience store, located at the 1300 block of the State Road 776 and South Access Road. The convenience store has sold herbal incense — which law enforcement considers a synthetic marijuana — and also sells alcohol.
