CCSO makes three drug arrests

PUNTA GORDA — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives arrested three drug dealers Wednesday at the Charlotte County Jail, all stemming from separate undercover drug buys involving sale of methamphetamine or morphine. Jason Scott Hine, 29, of the 400 block of Cypress Avenue, Port Charlotte, was charged with sale and delivery of morphine, possession of morphine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The drug buy took place July 13 with undercover detectives. Hine was arrested at the jail, where he’s been since July 22 on unrelated charges. Adam James Shartle, 27, of the 3600 block of Lundale Avenue, North Port, was also arrested at the county jail, where he’s been since Aug. 8 on multiple unrelated charges. Shartle is charged with sale of a noncontrolled substance in lieu of a controlled substance. He sold fake methamphetamine to an undercover detective on July 24, which is a felony.

Angela Nicole Yawn, 27, of the 22500 block of Blanchard Avenue, Port Charlotte, was also arrested at the jail on charges stemming from two previous methamphetamine drug sales July 31 sale to detectives. She was also charged for an Aug. 3 sale of fake meth to undercover detectives.
