Child’s memorial removed

Instead of celebrating birthdays and other milestones at home with Sarah-Dian Heineman, her family visits her grave marker and adds balloons, and other mementos for the 7-year-old whose life was cut short in 2009 by an impaired driver.

“We decorated Sarah’s memorial marker for Valentine’s Day, her birthday, Christmas and other holidays,” said Sarah-Dian’s aunt, Rebecca Baldizzi, of the site at the corner of Toledo Blade Boulevard and State Road 776 in Port Charlotte. “We’ve always kept it nice.”
