Artists entered their works Friday for the 22nd annual Open Fall Art Exhibit, to be held at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda from Monday to Oct. 11. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The exhibit is free to the public, and features traditional painting, drawing, sculpture, scratchboard, two-dimensional collage, and hand-printed images. For more information, call 941-639-8810. The bird statue pictured here, designed by Florida native Dan Swails, is a one-of-a-kind metal sculpture made entirely from silverware.
