NORTH PORT — As the humid, sticky weather begins to give way to the welcome relief of fall, more and more North Port residents are peeking their air-conditioned heads out from their indoor summer hibernation and are looking to get back to outdoor activities.
Since June 2011, many of North Port’s citizens have enjoyed the Morgan Family Community Center’s air-conditioned amenities inside the 33,300-square-foot facility off West Price Boulevard. With a teen lounge, dance room, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, workout room with state-of-the-art equipment and craft room, there is something to do inside for people of all ages. However, the Morgan Center is not limited to indoor activities — there are many things to do outside as well, including play on a basketball court, a playground and many open areas.
