Late father motivates Charlotte High’s Mari

PORT CHARLOTTE — Sometimes golf courses give their holes names to add character, such as Royal Troon’s par-3 No. 8, famously dubbed “The Postage Stamp.”
There is no humor in Charlotte High School junior Chris Mari’s informal name for No. 12 at Port Charlotte Golf Club — he calls it “The Grim Reaper.”
