PUNTA GORDA — Edison State College Charlotte Campus announced Thursday that it had become the first community partner of the Charlotte location for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.
“The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change a child’s life for the better, forever,” said Carolyn Gorton, community resource director for BBBS of the Sun Coast. “This partnership with Edison promises to make a huge impact on the children of Charlotte County, for both the 6- to 18-year-olds we serve, and the college students who have this opportunity to give back to their community.”
