PORT CHARLOTTE — Several key street-beautification and sidewalk-promenade projects in the Parkside revitalization district are slated to advance through design and permitting stages this fall, so residents should see construction begin by early 2013, a couple of Charlotte County officials promised residents at a Team Port Charlotte meeting Thursday night.

Both officials, County Administrator Ray Sandrock and Community Development Director Dan Quick, said they had committed more than a dozen staffers to the projects. They were adopted a year ago by the county as part of a citizens master plan drafted by Team Port Charlotte.
