NORTH PORT — With administrators not giving up on funding requests, students pitching in and painting the walls, and the School Board redirecting taxpayer dollars, North Port High School now has a locker room for its JV and Varsity Bobcat football teams instead of the tiny office space players used for 10 years.

“The old locker room was dismal,” said Ron Corso, NPHS assistant principal. “When the school was built, there wasn’t much of a locker room. The coaches converted their office into a locker room so the players could change and get ready for games, but quickly they outgrew the space.”
