PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives located the missing and endangered 58-year-old woman this afternoon at McDonald’s in the Promenades Mall, 3280 Tamiami Trail, in Port Charlotte. Detectives say Nona Lee Cortese of the 100 block of Sinclair Street, had used a credit card to make a purchase at 11:30 a.m. at McDonald’s. A short time later, CCSO was notified by Bank of America of the transaction. Detectives didn’t have far to go as the CCSO District 4 Office is in the same mall and quickly responded. They positively identified Cortese as the person who was last seen by her family on Sept. 20.
